Your dashboard and your storefront are gated separately. The dashboard is yours as long as you can sign in; the storefront serves customers only while the subscription says it may.
The three ways it goes offline
- The subscription was cancelled. Once a cancellation takes effect, the storefront stops.
- Nothing was ever paid. A trial that ended without a payment, or a store still waiting for its first payment, has no paid time to stand on, so it goes offline as soon as the subscription becomes unpaid.
- An unpaid subscription stayed unpaid. A store that had paid before keeps serving for a while after its grace period ends, then stops. The dates are the ones on your Billing page and in the reminder emails; see When a payment fails.
The banner across the top of your dashboard says which, and carries Renew now.

What customers see
Today an offline storefront answers with a page saying the store could not be found at that address. A customer with a bookmark cannot tell an offline store from one that never existed, which is a reason to fix it promptly.

What still works
Everything in your dashboard that does not need a paid plan: orders you already have, products, customers, settings. Nothing is deleted while the store is offline.
Bringing it back
Renew now in the banner or on Billing, or Reactivate on the plan page if the subscription was cancelled, opens the payment window; the storefront serves again on the next request after the payment completes. See Renew or reactivate your subscription.
If it does not work
- You paid and the storefront is still offline: wait a moment and reload it; if it stays offline, email us with your store name and the payment reference.
- The store is on a complimentary subscription and offline: it was cancelled, which is the one thing that can take a complimentary store down. Email us; our team restores it.
Email support@shoponent.com with your store name if anything here does not match what you see. We read and answer every message.
