Not right now. Instead you get founder pricing: up to 50% less than paying monthly at standard rates, locked for 24 months from the day you subscribe. Free trials open later, but founder pricing ends on a date we will announce in advance and won't be offered again.

What is founder pricing?

Create a store and subscribe it before a date we will announce in advance, and that store pays the founder rate right away. The rate is locked for 24 months from the day you subscribe, and every renewal inside that window stays at it, not just the first. When it ends, the plan renews at the standard price in effect at that time, and we'll give you notice before any change. Founding merchants also get a direct line to the team for support and feature requests.

Does founder pricing apply per store or per account?

Per store. A Shoponent account is free and can hold several stores (or none), and each store has its own subscription. Every store you subscribe before a date we will announce in advance locks in its own founder rate, so if you run more than one, each gets it, and each keeps it for 24 months from its own start date.

What does it mean to join this early?

Shoponent is live and you can create a store today: core selling, payments, inventory and orders are built and running. We're onboarding our first merchants, so you'd be among the earliest, which is exactly who founder pricing is for. Anything marked "Soon" on the plans is on our roadmap and isn't available yet. We're actively building, so you may occasionally hit a rough edge, and as a founding merchant you get a direct line to the team to report anything and help shape what we ship next.

What happens when founder pricing ends?

Nothing changes for a store that already has it. Any store subscribed before a date we will announce in advance keeps its founder rate for a full 24 months from the day it subscribed; only stores subscribed afterwards pay the standard price.

Can I switch plans later?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. An upgrade takes effect straight away, and you pay only the prorated difference for the rest of your current period. A downgrade is scheduled and takes effect when the period you've already paid for ends. If you switch plans while your founder rate is running, it carries over: you'll pay the new plan's founder rate, monthly or annual, and the 24-month lock keeps running on its original clock.

What payment methods do you accept?

Subscriptions are billed securely via Paystack, so you can pay with your card or by bank transfer. Enterprise customers can pay via invoice.

Are there any hidden fees?

Accepted Answer

No hidden fees. The price you see is what you pay, and optional add-ons (extra staff accounts or locations) are priced upfront before you buy them. Standard payment processing fees on your storefront sales are charged by your payment provider, not Shoponent.

What happens if I exceed my product limit?

There are no product limits on any plan. All plans include unlimited products and orders.

Do you offer discounts for annual billing?

The plan cards show the current annual price and saving compared with paying monthly at the standard rate. Choose Annual to compare the options. You can switch to annual billing from your store settings, and while your founder rate is running you get the annual founder rate.

Does the team member count include me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each plan's team member count includes your own owner account, so Starter is you and 1 staff member, Professional is you and 4, and Scale is you and 14. Your account never uses a staff seat.

Can I add more staff accounts or store locations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every plan's staff and location counts can be extended with add-ons, billed alongside your subscription: extra staff accounts at ₦800/staff account/month (or ₦7,680/staff account/year (20% off)) and extra store locations at ₦4,000/location/month (or ₦38,400/location/year (20% off)). You can buy them any time from your store's billing page.
