Subscribers and export

Collect a consented email list from your storefront and export it as a CSV. We do not send campaigns for you yet, and the page never pretends otherwise.

Available on every plan · Updated 12 September 2026

Also asked as: newsletter list · export email list · mailing list · who subscribed · send a campaign

Marketing → Subscribers is the email list your storefront collects: everyone who has asked to hear from you, with when they asked and where they were standing when they did.

The subscriber list, with its totals and where each person signed up

We do not send campaigns from here. This is capture and management only. When you want to send something, use Export CSV and load the list into whatever email tool you already use. Saying so plainly is deliberate: a list you think is being emailed and is not is worse than no list.

The list

The columns are the address, a name if they gave one, Source, the date they subscribed and their status. Source is which part of your storefront they used: the signup section on a page, the form in your footer, the tick box on the account signup form, or the popup.

The tabs narrow to Subscribed or Unsubscribed. Nobody is deleted when they unsubscribe: the record stays, so you can prove they were once on the list and see that they left.

A row's menu lets you unsubscribe somebody by hand, or delete them entirely. Ticking several rows does the same to all of them at once.

Export CSV downloads the list, on every plan.

Collecting them

Settings → Newsletter decides whether any of this happens at all.

Settings, Newsletter: the signup switch and the popup
  • Enable newsletter signups puts the signup section on your storefront and accepts subscriptions. With it off, the section does not appear and nothing is collected.
  • Popup signup shows a dialog to visitors: after a delay, or when they look like they are about to leave. You set the delay and how long to wait before showing it to the same person again, and you write what it says.

Every form carries the same consent line, and someone who subscribes is added once: subscribing twice changes nothing, and somebody who had unsubscribed is put back on the list.

How it joins up with your customers

If the address matches a customer you already have, the two are linked and that customer is marked as accepting marketing. Unsubscribing clears it again, so the customer's record always says what they last told you.

If it does not work

  • Nothing is being collected: check Enable newsletter signups is on, and that your storefront actually shows a signup section or has the popup switched on.
  • Somebody says they subscribed and are not on the list: check the Unsubscribed tab, and check they used your storefront rather than replying to an email.
  • You want to send a campaign: export the CSV and send from your own email tool. Sending from here is not built yet.
  • The export opens as one column: your spreadsheet needs to be told it is comma-separated; most will ask on opening.
